Project Background
Groupe H2O worked on a project to install pumping stations in Ste-Adèle. This system is designed for commercial condos but can also be adapted for residential use.
Operation of the Pumping System
The pumping system we installed uses two pumps for sewage or wastewater. They operate alternately to reduce wear. However, if the water level becomes too high, both pumps can operate simultaneously to prevent overflows.
System Features
- Control System: A control system with an alarm alerts in case of malfunction.
- Dual Pumps: The system uses two sewage pumps for added security.
Why Install Dual Pumps?
- Safety: Dual pumps provide protection against overflows.
- Efficiency: They operate alternately to reduce the workload.
- Reliability: If one pump fails, the second one takes over.
Residential Application
While this system is commercial, similar installations are possible in homes. Dual sewage pumps are commonly installed in sump pits to prevent spring flooding.
Project Results
The installation of the pumping station in Ste-Adèle was successful. The pumps are operating correctly, and the control system ensures continuous monitoring. The client can rest assured knowing that their pumping system is secure.
